FERRO CHROME
Low Carbon & High Carbon
It promotes corrosión and oxidation resistance and aids high temperature strength. Is the major alloying element in the production of stainless steel.
FERRO BORON
Used to improve hardenability and to control the micro structure of flat rolled HSLA steels.
FERRO MANGANESE
Low Carbon & High Carbon
Mostly used to improve the hardness and wear resistance of steel.
FERRO TITANIUM
As an alloying element increases yield strength and reduced cracking tendences.
FERRO SILICIO ZIRCONIUM
CALCIUM SILICON
Strong deoxidizer for steel.
Is used for refining, desulphurisation, deoxidation and inclusion control.
FERRO SILICO MANGANESE
Deoxidizer for steel, forming liquid phase, avoiding inclusion.
FERRO TUNGSTEN
Element that modifies the structure of the steel, increases the hardness and density of the alloys and is used to obtain Tungsten Carbide.
FERRO VANADIUM
Used to promote fine grain size, to increase hardenability and offer improvements in wear resistance.
PIG IRON
Pig iron is the metallic ore that contains 90% of iron. Pig iron is used for making steel and pure iron units. It has very high carbon content along with silica and another constituent of dross.
FERRO MOLYBDENUM – MOLY OXIDE
Additions of ferro moly can lead to improvements in weldability, corrosion and wear resistance while also serving to increase ferrite strength and hardness.
FERRO SILICON
It assists in graphitization and favors the formation of ferrite, being used as a deoxidizer / inoculant.
FERRO NIOBIUM
Used by steel makers as a grain refiner in HSLA (High-strength low-alloy) steels and as carbide former in austenitic stainless steel.
MANGANESE FLAKES
Element for special alloys. Used as an alloying element to increase abrasion resistance.
